time is never-endless

the clouds rush past

the grasshoppers whisper

their daily anthem

more jagged breaths to punctuate our sentences

feel the hardened pit of the stomach

swamps of insects seep into our heads

threading out fibres from the brain

our bodies shiver irregularly

you feel it too

pretending to sleep

the sun rises

end an exhale

starts with an inhale

every person

ends up somewhere we all

start somewhere

to times like these

that don’t last

nothing (lasts)
